Q: How many people are in each class?
A: 20-30 people are selected from a competitive pool of applicants for each class.

Q: What is the cost of the program?
A: Tuition for the program is $1,750 and covers all course materials, meals, beverages, two retreats, graduation, and complimentary membership in the Buckhead Business Association for the year. Note: Leadership Buckhead offers a small number of partial scholarships, which are available on an as-needed basis.

Q: What is the attendance policy?
A: Students must attend the two retreats and the Graduation Ceremony. For the other six meetings, which are half or full-day classes, a maximum of one absence is permitted.

Q: Do you have to work or live in Buckhead to be accepted to the program?
A: No. The program caters to a diverse group of individuals from throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Q: Can someone nominate themselves for the program?
A: Yes, self-nominations are accepted.

Q: How do I nominate someone?
A: First, talk to the person(s) you want to nominate! Tell them about the program and the two-year commitment. If they are interested, then you can fill out the form here or you can send their information via e-mail to our nomination committee at apply@leadershipbuckhead.org.

Q: May I nominate more than one person from the same company?
A: Yes. There are no limits to the number of nominations.

Q: Can more than one person from the same company be accepted into the program in a given year?
A: If the company is big enough, then a class may have more than one person from a given company. But if a company is small or the people work in the same department, then it is not likely that both will be in the same class. What may happen is that one person is accepted for the current class and one person is accepted for the following year. The application review board makes decisions on a case by case basis.

Q: If I request financial assistance, will that diminish my chances of being accepted?
A: No. The acceptance process is separate from financial assistance requests.

Q: What does the financial assistance involve?
A: Most frequently it is a payment plan, but there are a limited number of partial scholarships available.

Q: When should I nominate someone?
A: Any time! The more time the applicant has to get his/her employer to support the employee attending the program and the more time the nominee has to fill out the application, the better. The deadline for nominations for the 2017/2018 program year is Monday May 15, 2019.

Q: When was the Leadership Buckhead program started?
A: Leadership Buckhead (originally named BBA Leadership Development Program) was established in 1990.
